2024 Trump - Biden first presidential debate drinking game
Let’s face it, it’s going to be a long 90 minutes. Whether you support one or the other, having a couple drinks will make the first presidential debate more enjoyable.
The first presidential debate of 2024 will be hosted by CNN in Atlanta on Thursday, 27 June, at 9 p.m. ET. The event will be moderated by the network’s very own Dana Bash and Jake Tapper, who described the 2020 debates between the two men as a “shitshow” and “a hot mess, inside a dumpster fire, inside a train wreck,” respectively. Hopefully, the two veteran news anchors will have better luck keeping the candidates civil, but if not, maybe those watching at home can have some (responsible) fun while watching.

It goes without saying that this game is for adults of legal drinking age. If you’re under 21, you can substitute alcoholic beverages with soda or juice. This is an American tradition that goes back possibly to the 60s when the first debates were televised, and viewers needed some parallel entertainment to keep their attention. So, when do we drink during the first Trump-Biden presidential debate?
Before things get started, a drink is in order. You deserve it. You’ve gotten this far, and you’ll be forced to listen to two elderly men argue and insult each other for the next hour and a half. Cheers!
