The author of the book ‘Saying NO is also an option’ helps us to establish healthy boundaries with ourselves and with others.

The mission of emotional self-care expert Diana Alí Ocaña is to help women and mothers prioritize themselves without guilt or fear. Her commitment to this cause comes from her own personal experience and a genuine process of transformation.

Thirteen years ago, she was admitted to a psychiatric hospital “for living completely out of alignment” with herself, a situation that led to severe physical exhaustion and deterioration. After more than a decade in therapy and several years with a diagnosis of depression and anxiety, Diana underwent a profound personal change.

Today, she shares with her audience the tools needed to achieve peace and inner alignment. In her new book, ‘Saying NO Is Also an Option’, Diana Alí Ocaña offers an essential guide to learning how to set healthy boundaries with oneself and with others.

Through reflections and practical exercises, the book teaches readers how to “set limits without fear or guilt while promoting confidence and personal well-being.” She explains, “It is important to learn how to say no in an assertive and calm way. Inner alignment means saying yes to our priorities.”

“Women, in particular, tend to say yes to everything and end up forgetting about themselves. We have not been taught to say no, and many times we give in to things just to please others,” she says.

“Saying no to someone else is actually saying yes to our own integrity,” Alí Ocaña adds.

Through a six-step process, the author helps readers strengthen their self-esteem, establish clear boundaries, and communicate with confidence “so they can learn to say no with respect and without fear, allowing others to respect them as well.”
