Donald Trump’s extraordinary car collection: from customized Cadillac limousines to sports cars and electric vehicles

Update:

Donald Trump’s car collection is less a celebration of automotive culture and more a rolling monument to his lifelong obsession with excess.

Every vehicle in his garage screams wealth and image; across decades, his fleet has evolved from classic luxury to brash modern supercars, seemingly chosen for how loudly they could announce their owner.

The Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud is perhaps the most telling of them all—a relic from 1956 that Trump has proudly shown off as one of his first cars.

Which cars does Donald Trump own?

The monster engine — let’s assume he’s gone for the 6.2 litre V8 and not the 4.9L straight 6 — under the hood fits the image he has always tried to project: over the top. His newer Rolls-Royce Phantom, on the other hand, is exactly what you’d expect from him: large, imposing, and impossible to ignore.

He once owned a Cadillac Allanté, rumoured to have been gifted to him for his self-promotion as a “brand ambassador.” The pièce de résistance, though, was the Trump Golden Series Limo, a tacky, gold-trimmed colossus he supposedly helped design: the interior was said to be dripping with plush velvet, mirrors, and excess chrome. Just like the Oval Office, then.

Despite Trump’s disdain for Europe, he owns a number of cars from the ‘Old Continent’. They include a 483 bhp Ferrari F430 F1 Coupe, a V12 Lamborghini Diablo, and a supercharged grand tourer in the form of a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.

Donald Trump’s cars (that we know of)

  • Rolls-Royce Phantom
  • Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud (1956)
  • Cadillac Allanté
  • Cadillac “Trump Golden Series” Limo
  • Tesla Roadster
  • Ferrari F430 F1 Coupe
  • Lamborghini Diablo
  • Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren
  • Chevrolet Camaro SS
  • Cadillac Escalade
  • The Beast (presidential state limousine)

It is hard to work out, but the estimated total value of the garage contents sits at around $2 million, with the likely figure being much more when you take into consideration the fact that they belong to a sitting president.

But here’s the catch: despite owning a sensational list of motoring feats, Trump cannot legally drive any of these vehicles during or after his presidency, given security laws surrounding the role as head of state.
