European leaders respond to Trump’s threats: “The Kingdom of Denmark - including Greenland - is part of NATO”

Leaders across Europe have come together to take a stand against Donald Trump’s bullying.

Update:

At least they are somewhat *taking a stand*. Actually, forget that - who am I kidding?

The reaction from the majority of the world leaders to Trump kidnapping the Venezuelan president - however agreed upon you may think it was - has been as weak as a Jeffrey Epstein prison sentence.

The British Prime Minister, Kier Starmer, appeared on the BBC in the hours following the first reports of the story, and instead of condemning the unprecedented actions of his orange ally, decided to wait for “the facts” to come to light. As though someone was going to tell him that Trump has just been joking about his macho-man personality for the last 60 years.

And now Trump has taken one step further in his quest for world domination, and has set his eyes - yes, they’re still there in his head, somewhere - on Greenland. The icy nation has been something of a pet project for the president, who has not stopped threatening the country since he was voted back into office. “It’s so strategic,” Trump claimed. “Right now, Greenland is covered with Russian and Chinese ships all over the place. We need Greenland from the standpoint of national security, and Denmark is not going to be able to do it. I can guarantee you.”

“Greenland belongs to its people... and them only”

Stephen Miller, Trump’s top advisor who regularly gets compared to Joseph Goebbels due to his uncanny likeness in his rhetoric and words when speaking publicly, has once again reiterated that "obviously Greenland should be part of the US."

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen stated Monday that she had already “made it very clear where the Kingdom of Denmark stands, and that Greenland has repeatedly said that it does not want to be part of the United States.”

And now the European nations have decided to act. “Greenland belongs to its people. It is for Denmark and Greenland, and them only, to decide on matters concerning Denmark and Greenland” came the message from France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Denmark.

“Nato has made clear that the Arctic region is a priority and European allies are stepping up,” the statement added. “We and many other allies have increased our presence, activities, and investments, to keep the Arctic safe and to deter adversaries.”

Security in the Arctic must therefore be achieved collectively, in conjunction with NATO allies including the United States, by upholding the principles of the UN Charter, including sovereignty, territorial integrity and the inviolability of borders,” the leaders added. “These are universal principles, and we will not stop defending them.”
