There hasn’t been a grand prize winner of the Sunshine State’s flagship lottery since the end of August. The Florida Lotto jackpot has been climbing since and now stands at $25.5 million for tonight’s drawing.

That’s the biggest Florida Lotto jackpot since June when one lucky ticket matched all six numbers for the $44 million prize. The Florida Lottery is still looking for the winner though as it hasn’t been claimed yet, and time is running out. The ticket holder has 180 days from the date of the draw to get to the Tallahassee headquarters office to claim the money.

What are the winning Florida Lotto numbers for Saturday, 9 December?

The winning numbers are 2-27-30-32-45-48.

How to play Florida Lotto

Tickets to play Florida Lotto are $2 and the prizes range from getting a free Quick Pick ticket for another chance at a prize to winning the jackpot. The state’s flagship lottery offers two additional add-ons for a $1 each, Double Play and EZmatch, choosing both would increase the a ticket price to $4 in total.

Players choose six numbers from 1 through 53, or they can have the terminal do the picking for them by marking the QP (Quick Pick) box. All of the numbers come from the same draw pool.

The overall odds of winning a prize for Florida Lotto is 1 in 7.61. Those are more than three times better than the overall odds of winning a prize compared to Mega Millions or Powerball.

While the Double Play add-on has the same overall odds as the standard game, with the EZmatch add-on the chances are better of getting an instant cash prize at 1 in 4.71 overall.

All non-jackpot prizes in the standard game and Double Play are set amounts, and starting in 2020, every ticket purchased includes a randomly generated “multiplier” number which automatically increases non-jackpot cash prizes by two, three, four, five, or ten times. While the multiplier doesn’t apply to EZmatch numbers that win, each ticket has the possibility of six winning numbers.

When are the Florida Lotto drawings and how late can you buy a ticket?

There are two drawings per week which are held Wednesday and Saturday nights at 11:15 p.m. ET. You can purchase a ticket up until 10:55 p.m. ET on the night of the draw. Any ticket purchased after that time will be for the following drawing.
