Here’s how you can get a free health screenings at Walmart today, Saturday Jan. 11
Walmart will be celebrating its first ‘Wellness Day’ of 2025 on Saturday where it will offer free health screenings, affordable vaccinations and more.
The holidays are over and it’s time to get back into the routine of things which includes taking better care of our health. To aid in that endeavor, Walmart is hosting its first ‘Wellness Day’ of 2025 this Saturday, January 11 at nearly 4,600 pharmacies across the nation.
The event will take place between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm, during which a variety of health-related events and services will be offered. “A new year brings opportunities for a fresh start, and we want to support people on their health journeys,” said Kevin Host, senior vice president of pharmacy at Walmart in a statement.
“Our Wellness Day events allow customers and patients to check in on their health in an affordable and convenient way while also encouraging meaningful connections with our highly skilled pharmacy teams,” he added.
Where to get free and affordable health services on ‘Wellness Day’
Walmart pharmacies will be providing a variety of free health screenings and affordable vaccinations for ‘Wellness Day’ on Saturday, January 11. These include the following:
- Free health screenings: Glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure, BMI, vision screenings (select locations) and others.
- Affordable immunizations: Flu, COVID-19, measles, mumps, pneumonia, tetanus, HPV, rubella (MMR), varicella (chicken pox/shingles), whooping cough (TDAP), Hepatitis A & B and more.
Select stores will also feature vision screenings from qualified Vision Center teams as well as in-store giveaways and demonstrations of wellness products.
Walmart Wellness Day will give families the opportunity to talk with members of Walmart’s qualified pharmacy teams about medications, recommended vaccines along with how to maintain a healthy lifestyle among other topics. Women hoping to become pregnant, or who already are, can also chat with a pharmacist to get advice on nutrition during pregnancy and beyond and how it impacts a growing baby’s development.
