New Jersey Primary Election 2022: Full results from 7 June

New Jersey voters take to the polls to vote in the state’s primary to select candidates for the November 2022 Mid-Term Election.

The polls are now closed in New Jersey and the vote counting is now underway. At the national level New Jersey voters have cast ballots for to see who will head off in Congressional races in the Mid-Term election in November.

One of the closest watched races of the night occured in NJ’s 8th Congressional District where Senator Bob Menendez’s son, Robert J. Menendez, ran a tough race against various Democratic candidates including David Ocampo Grajales and Ane Roseborough-Eberhard. After, Albio Sires announced his retirement, the Democratic party had rallied around Robert J. Menendez.

In NJ’s 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th Congressional Districts, incumbents Con. Norcross, Con. Kim, Con. Gottheimer, and Con. Malinowski are expected to win their primaries.

In the state’s 9th, 11th, and 12th Congressional Districts, the current incumbents did not face a primary challenger and have already been named the a winner tonight.
