What day of the week is the cheapest to shop at the supermarket?

While each day of the week is special for saving on specific items, the best shopping days in general are Wednesdays and Thursdays. Thanks to mid-week restocks, new promotions, and fewer crowds, Wednesday is the best day of the week for grocery shopping.

According to shopping experts, bread and beer are usually on sale on Wednesdays. On the other hand, sandwiches are usually cheaper on Thursdays. Additionally, the supermarket will probably be less crowded in the middle of the week than on a Saturday or Sunday.

The day with the most deals

Most stores start and end their weekly promotions on Wednesday. So if that’s the day you shop, you can take advantage of the new deals. Also, since this is when promotions change, many stores will also accept last week’s sales.

Make a purchase plan

To save even more, we recommend planning your shopping. Take a few minutes to review the weekly sales and plan your shopping list for the week. Organize your list by area in the store to make the process faster.

Most people go on vacation on a Friday and return home on a Sunday, so you definitely don't want to fly on those days if you're looking for a deal. The cheapest days to fly are Tuesdays and Wednesdays for domestic and international flights.

Meanwhile, when it comes to booking a hotel, it’s best to do it at the start of the week. Hotels are most booked at the end of the week, so you’ll get the best rates when you book early in the week.
