Many questions need to be answered about the U.S. invasion in Venezuela. We know Maduro and his wife have been captured, but did Trump officially declare war? What is the objective of this military operation?

What time is Trump’s press conference? When will the president explain the military operation in Venezuela?

According to Utah Senator Mike Lee, Nicolás Maduro was arrested by U.S. military forces and will stand trial in the United States. “He informed me that Nicolás Maduro has been arrested by U.S. personnel to stand trial on criminal charges in the United States, and that the kinetic action we saw tonight was deployed to protect and defend those executing the arrest warrant,” Lee said on X.

Latest reports from Caracas are that the city is calm and has been for a few hours after a “massive deployment” of military forces in Venezuela, according to CNN. It is still unclear if the U.S. government’s objective was only to capture Maduro and his wife or if a larger scale attack on the country is in the works. Trump must also explain if he asked Congress for authorization to attack Venezuela.
What time is Donald Trump’s press conference?
President Trump is expected to offer more details about the military strike on Venezuela at 11 a.m. ET on Saturday morning from Mar-A-Lago. Many questions need to be answered by the “Peace” president regarding the whereabouts of Maduro and his wife, what they have been charged with and what the U.S. plans in Venezuela are. We still don’t know if the president had authorization from Congress to attack Venezuela, although it is highly unlikely.
At 11 a.m. we will find out more about what Trump wants to achieve in Venezuela and where Nicolas Maduro is. Is this a full blown change or regimen in Venezuela and if so, who’s in charge now? We’ll keep you posted as we find out more.
