Why did Bissell recall three million of its vapor steam cleaners, a popular #CleanTok tool?
The Consumer Product Safety Commission said the recalled steam cleaners “can expel hot water or steam onto users while heating or during use, posing a burn hazard.”
According to the commission, the recall involves cleaners in model series 39N7 and 2994. “STEAM SHOT” or “POWER STEAMER” is printed on the side of the product. The units come in various colors.
The steamers had been sold at Target, Walmart, and other home goods stores across the country. They were also purchased online at www.bissell.com, Amazon, and other websites from August 2008 through May 2024.
