Two-way superstar to take the mound again in series against Padres.

When did Ohtani last pitch?
Ohtani hasn’t thrown in a Major League game since August 2023, having undergone Tommy John surgery on his elbow while still a member of the Los Angeles Angels.
Despite the injury, he has continued to shine as a hitter, putting up a .297/.393/.642 slash line along with 25 home runs – the most in the National League this season.
The two-way phenom had already taken part in bullpen sessions last week, throwing 44 pitches without experiencing any discomfort. That performance convinced the Dodgers it was time for his official return to pitching duties.
