How much money can the Dodgers offer to Roki Sasaki?
The Japanese sensation has to make a decision about his future in Major League Baseball before January 15, and three teams are fighting for the pitcher.

Roki Sasaki held meetings with the Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, and Toronto Blue Jays before making a decision on his future in Major League Baseball. The pitcher is tipped to be the next big star in Japanese baseball and has until January 15 to decide where he will play in his first year as a rookie.
Because the Japanese superstar is not yet 25 years old, teams can only offer him a contract with the $5.1 million and $7.5 million international bonus pool. Therefore, Roki Sasaki must decide before January 15, when the international signing period begins.
What can they offer to Roki Sasaki
The 23-year-old pitcher has already expressed his desire to debut in the Major Leagues and win the World Series in the near future. It is a goal that could be achieved by the Los Angeles Dodgers, current champions, and leading candidates to repeat the title in the 2025 campaign.
However, the Toronto and San Diego franchises can offer him a better contract as a rookie, although this does not seem to be a priority for the Japanese pitcher, who is looking to achieve glory. The Blue Jays and the Padres can offer up to $6.26 million, while the Dodgers can only offer him $5.15 million.
All three franchises have reportedly told potential international signings to wait until Roki Sasaki finally decides. This has forced several prospects to sign with other teams, such as Venezuelan Orlando Patiño, who signed with the White Sox, and Dominican Darrell Morel, who signed with the Pirates.
