Something’s up with the Dodgers as more pitching woes put rotation in spotlight

The Los Angeles Dodgers remain at the top of the National League West with a 40–27 record, but a staggering string of injuries – especially among their pitching staff – has begun to raise serious questions.

The latest blow came over the weekend, when the team announced that right-hander Tony Gonsolin had been sidelined with discomfort in his throwing elbow. Gonsolin becomes the 16th Dodgers pitcher to land on the injured list this season. So far, he holds a 3–2 record with a 5.00 ERA and 38 strikeouts in 36 innings over seven starts.
