Chaos in Puerto Rico as NBA All-Star grabs crotch, starts brawl with fans and gets drenched in beer
Former Warrior DeMarcus Cousins was involved in not one, but two altercations with fans in the same game while playing for the Mets de Guaynabo.

Former Golden State Warriors center DeMarcus Cousins had to be escorted off court by multiple security guards in Puerto Rico after provoking a brawl with fans, which ended with him being drenched in beer.

The four-time NBA-All Star, now playing for the Mets de Guaynabo in Puerto Rico’s Baloncesto Super Nacional league, first got involved in an altercation with a court-side fan, who appeared to be making a crying gesture in his direction. Cousins responded by grabbing his crotch and forcibly swatting away the hands of the fan, who was giving him the double middle finger.

That particular situation settled down, but Cousins was later ejected from the game against the Vaqueros de Bayamón, which led to more ugly scenes as he made his way to the locker room.
The 34-year-old was heckled by a hostile crowd as he walked off court, which he refused to take lying down. He shoved his hand in the face of one individual, who retaliated by throwing his cup of beer over Cousins’ head. That prompted others to follow suit, with several security guards having to intervene to stop the ex-Sacramento Kings star from climbing his way up into the stands to confront those responsible.
A sticky end to a difficult night for the Mets de Guaynabo, who were beaten 101-91.

What happened to Cousins after leaving the NBA?
Once one of the best big men in the NBA, Cousins has been playing abroad since leaving the Denver Nuggets in 2022. He is now in his second spell with the Mets de Guaynabo, having played for the Taoyuan Taiwan Beer Leopards and Mongolian team the Selenge Bodons in between.
