Doncic’s blunt, split-second response to a possible return to Dallas

Luka Doncic’s current feelings about Texas came through loud and clear – and rather fast - during a recent appearance on Sundae Conversation, the offbeat interview show hosted by Caleb Pressley. When asked if he could ever see himself moving back to Texas after his basketball career (check out min 5:45), Doncic didn’t even pause. One word: “No.”

If there were any doubts, Pressley pressed on. “Even Houston?” he asked. “Houston Luka?” “Hookah?” Every time, Doncic replied with a clipped, almost amused “No.” You didn’t need a slow-motion replay to catch his point.

The show, known for its absurdist questions and mocking tone, often puts guests in strange spots, blending real curiosity with surreal humor. But in this case, the question was pretty straightforward.

As you can see from the YouTube video, the comments section is full of love for Luka. And there are quite a few Mavs fans that seem to miss him, not only for his play, but also his personality.

Will Doncic return to Dallas?

While his answer about moving back to Texas seems pretty final, those fans can maybe hold some hope. Emotions change, especially in sport. The Lakers switch was pretty surprising, even to Doncic, remember.

And also, note that the question was framed “after basketball.” Maybe there’s some playing time left there for him after all...
