Following his shock move from Dallas to Los Angeles, the Slovenian is poised to make his first appearance for the Lakers.
With NBA fans finally coming to terms with the fact that Luka Doncic is now a Laker in what many consider the biggest trade of the 21st century, the focus falls on the Slovenian’s debut.
The 28-year-old has been recovering from a calf issue since Christmas and has missed recent games for his new team. However the wait for Lakers fans to see their new star on court and play alongside LeBron James appears to be over with both players moved to ‘questionable’ for the team ahead of Monday night’s home game against Utah.
“It’s just like a dream come true,” Dončić said on playing with LeBron. “I always look up to him. There’s so many things I could learn from him. And I’m just excited, just to learn everything and now I get to play with him. So it’s an amazing feeling.”
That ‘dream come true’ maybe a reality at the Crypto.com Arena with both players marked as questionable for the visit of the Jazz.
