Kevin Durant set for one of two teams: “he has no desire to play for them”
There has been much speculation about Durant’s future in recent times, and we know which franchise he won’t be playing for.

Kevin Durant’s future has been up in the air for some time, although it now appears as if we are starting to get a little clarity as to what the future holds for the two-time NBA champion.
ESPN reporters Shams Charania and Brian Windhorst have combined to reveal the names of the two franchises who have the best chance of securing the 36-year-old’s services for the remainder of the season and beyond.

Suns star shoots down talk of Warriors reunion
Durant’s former team, the Golden State Warriors, are interested in taking the forward back, which isn’t going to happen.
According to Charania, the current Phoenix Suns star has “no desire in a reunion” with the Californians, with whom he previously played from 2016 to 2019 and won two championship rings, in addition to two NBA MVPs.
Durant-Jimmy Butler blockbuster trade on the table
Per Windhorst, there are two possibilities for the 15-time All-Star; stay with the Suns, or be traded to the Miami Heat, in exchange for one of their want away stars.
“A trade KD for Jimmy Butler functionally works. The Suns are in a straight jacket in terms of making deals, but they can make that deal. Pat Reilly and the Heat have wanted Kevin Durant several times in the past. The concept for the Suns was to put them together.
“I would say he either stays in Phoenix or is at Miami Heat by tomorrow afternoon”.

Why isn’t Durant playing for the Suns against the Thunder?
Durant had been due to play for the Suns against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday but has reportedly been ruled out of the game because of “ankle soreness,” according to senior NBA Insider Chris Haynes.
The Washington DC native would have had the opportunity to become only the eighth man in the history of the NBA to surpass the 35,000-point mark.
Durant needs only 26 points to reach that milestone, and will eventually join an exclusive club which contains LeBron James, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Dirk Nowitzki, and Wilt Chamberlain.
