LeBron has done it before: Can he save the Lakers from another playoff disaster?
The Los Angeles Lakers are one loss away from a first-round exit in the NBA Playoffs at the hands of the Timberwolves.

The series between the Lakers and the Minnesota Timberwolves heads back to Crypto.com Arena on Wednesday night, with the Purple and Gold fighting to stave off elimination. After falling 116-113 on Sunday, the Lakers now trail 3-1 in the series. They’re trying to avoid a first-round exit for the second straight year — and if anyone knows how to overcome these odds, it’s LeBron James.

“Well, I’ve seen Bron do it before. We still believe we can win this series — we just have to take it one game at a time,” Dorian Finney-Smith said after Sunday’s loss. “Obviously, we put ourselves in a tough spot, but we have to figure it out together as a team.”
The time LeBron James pulled off a historic comeback
Finney-Smith was referencing LeBron’s legendary run with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2016 NBA Finals, when he led the Cavs to a stunning comeback against the Golden State Warriors after falling behind 3-1. The future Hall of Famer helped deliver Cleveland its first-ever NBA title, toppling Stephen Curry and company to win the series 4-3 against all odds.
The Lakers will now have to take the same approach — one game at a time — to try and extend their season against Minnesota. The Purple and Gold have struggled to match the Timberwolves’ physical intensity, and their lack of size has made it tough to control the boards.
