Estados Unidos Update:

The NBA playoffs are heating up, and the league has officially released the schedule for the Conference Finals after confirming the four teams still in the hunt for a title: the Oklahoma City Thunder and Minnesota Timberwolves in the West, and the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers in the East.

Outlook in the East

A classic showdown awaits in the Eastern Conference between the New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers. The Knicks clinched their series 4-2 over the Boston Celtics, who lost their star player Jayson Tatum to surgery to repair a torn right Achilles tendon. The Pacers, meanwhile, pulled off an upset by knocking out the top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers, winning the series 3-1.

New York, who finished the regular season third in the East, will host Indiana – fourth in the standings – at Madison Square Garden, beginning Wednesday, May 21.

On the other side of the bracket, the Minnesota Timberwolves cruised past the Golden State Warriors 4-1 – a series in which the Warriors were without Stephen Curry, sidelined by a Grade 1 strain in his left hamstring.

The Thunder, who finished as the top seed in the division, will host the T-Wolves, who finished the season ranked sixth, at the Paycom Center, beginning Tuesday, May 20.
