NBA Conference Finals: What is the salary value of Dallas and Minnesota’s roster?
Dallas are in the hunt for their second NBA championship with Minnesota looking for their maiden title.
After finishing the regular season in third (Minnesota) and fifth (Dallas) place respectively, impressive postseason performances have fans of both teams believing they can go all the way as the Timberwolves look for their first ever NBA Championship title and Mavs fans looking to add to their 2011 triumph.
Game 1 of the series was a tightly fought affair and required some late brilliance from Dallas stars Luka Doncic and P.J. Washington who took centre stage to fire the Mavs ahead and hold out to record the win despite trailing in the final quarter.
The win in Minneapolis hands Dallas a major advantage in the final with Game 2 coming up on Friday night before the series heads back to Texas for the third and fourth games.
The manner of the defeat on Wednesday annoyed Wolves coach Chris Finch as he pointed out the team’s errors as part of a video debriefing session on Thursday.
Speaking after the meeting with his players, the 54-year-old claimed: “It was a rough film session, I told the guys, ‘It’s been a long time since I’ve been this disappointed in your effort. Your performance, your attitude, your application and attention to detail just wasn’t there.’
