The Los Angeles Lakers announce the departure of three players
The team led by LeBron James and Anthony Davis revealed the names of those who will not continue next season in the NBA
The NBA preseason is underway and teams are starting to make decisions about which players will remain on their roster, as well as the names of those who will make up their starting lineup.
This week, the Los Angeles Lakers issued a press release to confirm that they requested waivers three players who had been temporarily signed. Among the names announced is that of the son of the former Chicago Bulls star: Scottie Pippen.
“The Los Angeles Lakers have requested waivers on Vincent Valerio-Bodon and guards Damion Baugh and Scotty Pippen Jr.”, reads the statement released by the Californian franchise.
Scotty Pippen Jr had participated in six games with the Lakers with average per game figures of 2.3 points and just 5.3 minutes. He was re-signed with an Exhibit 10 contract on 7 September.
But he could not make the cut due to the complicated panorama he faced because the Lakers has 14 of the 15 available slots to play in the 2023-24 NBA campaign already occupied.
The franchise also has three players on two-way contracts: Colin Castleton, Alex Fudge and D’Moi Hodge.
