The Dallas Wings had the first selection in the 2025 WNBA Draft and as expected, they chose NCAA national champion, UConn Huskies guard Paige Bueckers.

Paige Bueckers goes No. 1 overall to Dallas
After winning the March Madness tournament in a stunning 82-59 win over the South Carolina Gamecocks, 5’11″ Bueckers has been all over the country, hopping back and forth from Connecticut and New York to make talk show appearances, WNBA rookie orientation, and the Huskies’ celebration parade in Florida.
After a stunning season averaging 20 points per game, she can celebrate being selected as the number one pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft to join Arike Ogunbowale and the Dallas Wings.
