Tracy Morgan reveals the reason for shocking courtside illness at Madison Square Garden
The Brooklyn-born comedian and actor was taken from the MSG in a wheelchair on Monday after vomiting in his courtside seats.

Comedian Tracy Morgan has revealed the shock reason for his concerning exit from Madison Square Garden on Monday night.
The Emmy-nominated actor was in attendance at MSG for the Miami Heat - New York Knicks game when he suffered a medical emergency, vomiting in his courtside seats and getting a nose bleed. The game was put on hold with just over six minutes left in the third quarter while responders tended to Morgan.
Morgan was carried from the venue in a wheelchair and taken to hospital. It had been speculated that the comic was experiencing a reoccurrence of recent health issues but he confirmed in an Instagram post on Tuesday morning that was not the case.
“I’m doing ok now and doctors say it was food poisoning. Appreciate my MSG family for taking such good care of me and I need to shout out the crew that had to clean that up. Appreciate you!” Morgan explained.
“More importantly, the Knicks are now 1-0 when I throw up on the court so maybe I’ll have to break it out again in the playoffs,” the 56-year-old joked.
Fans will be relieved to learn that Morgan’s condition is just a case of food poisoning, and nothing related to the health issues of recent years. In 2010 Morgan was forced to undergo a kidney transplant and later suffered brain trauma from a traffic collision in 2014 that left him in a coma. His friend James McNair was killed in the incident and Morgan spent two weeks in hospital.
Only last week Morgan starred in the Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary events. The comedian was a part of both the ‘SNL50 The Homecoming Concert’ and the live special ‘SNL50: The Anniversary Celebration’ events.
