The Boston Celtics and the Dallas Mavericks fended off elimination by forcing Game 7, and today four teams will have their last shot at winning a seat in the NBA Conference finals.

It looks to be two battles of defense, so basketball fans may not see high-scoring games today. NBA history has shown that Game 7s have a tendency to be low-scoring encounters.

Milwaukee Bucks @ Boston Celtics - (3-3) 3:30 p.m. ET / 12:30 p.m. PT

The semifinal round between the Bucks and the Celtics has been a blow-for-blow competition, with the two teams taking alternate wins. Game 7 heads to Boston, so the Celtics have the home court advantage.

Their contests have been very physical from Games 1 one to 6, so this decisive match will prove which of them has borne the physical toll better. The Bucks will be missing Khris Middleton once more, despite earlier optimism that he would be well enough to stage a comeback.

Defense has played a key role in how the matchups have turned out so far, and Game 7 will likely see the same. The winner will have a spot in the Eastern Conference Finals and face the Miami Heat, who eliminated the Philadelphia 76ers from the second round in Game 6.

Dallas Mavericks @ Phoenix Suns (3-3) - 8:00 p.m. ET / 5:00 p.m. PT

The top-seeded Suns will be recovering from the 113-86 thrashing they received from the Mavs in Game 6. They will be in a good position to do so, as they will be playing in front of their fans at home, and in this series the host has won all six games.

This round started to be high-scoring, but the point average went down in the last four games.

Whoever wins the game today will face the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals.
