What team does projected no.1 pick Victor Wembanyama play for? Highlights and stats
It’s been quite a few years since we’ve seen a prospect like the French star. So, just how good is he? Let’s take a look at Victor Wembanyama by the numbers.

As you probably know by now Victor Wembanyama is the talk of the town as we approach the 2023 NBA Draft Lottery, which in turn will be followed by the NBA Draft itself. Everybody is curious to see where the French sensation will end up and more importantly, how will he perform in the NBA
Where does Victor Wembanyama play?
At present the 19-year-old prodigy plays for Metrpolitan 92 of the LNB Pro A. Standing at 7-foot-4 when barefoot and possessing an 8-foot wingspan, Wembanyama is a physical specimen like no other. Indeed, he’s about to be the tallest player in the NBA once he enters the league. Yet, that’s just the beginning.

Truthfully it’s Wembanyama’s skill set that makes his physical attributes all the more frightening. As Draft Express founder Jonathan Givony put it when describing him, he has “...has wowed NBA executives for the past three years with his exceptional combination of fluidity, perimeter skill, shot-blocking instincts, and feel for the game and has cemented himself as the likely No. 1 pick, barring a major surprise. He was named French LNB Pro A Best Young Player two years in a row and made his EuroLeague debut last season.”
Even LeBron James is impressed
Back in October, after watching Wembanyama’s Metropolitan 92 take on the G-League’s Ignite in Nevada, the Lakers icon was asked for his thoughts on the French star to which he conceded that he shared the same opinion as everybody else i.e., the kid has got game. “I think probably the same as everybody else thinks,” James said. “Everybody’s been a unicorn over the last few years, but he’s more like an alien. No one has ever seen anyone as tall as he is but as fluid and graceful as he is on the floor. ...He’s for sure a generational talent. Hopefully, he continues to stay healthy. That’s the important thing for him.”
LeBron James is asked if he watched Victor Webanyama play last night, and if so, if he could share his thoughts.
