Who can’t be traded until December 15th?
Free agent who joins an NBA club cannot be traded for the following three months or until December 15, whichever comes later

While clubs search the trade market for prospective deals to round out their rosters in preparation for training camp, they need to keep in mind a number of trade regulations. Most notably, deals involving recently signed free agents are prohibited until at least December 15.
According to the Collective Bargaining Agreement of the National Basketball Association (NBA), a free agent who joins an NBA club cannot be traded for the following three months or until December 15, whichever comes later. Certain newly signed players match a few precise conditions and can’t be moved until January 15. These players are restricted from being traded.
This year’s trade deadline might be exciting, as there is still a chance that the Los Angeles Lakers could make a significant deal to strengthen their squad around LeBron James and Anthony Davis to make a run for the playoffs. In addition to this, the New York Knicks are said to be ready to part ways with Derrick Rose, Immanuel Quickley, Evan Fournier, and Cam Reddish after getting off to a sluggish start to the season. This might indicate that the Knicks are seeking to spice things up. As the date approaches closer, it is expected that more clubs may also emerge as prospective participants.
"The Lakers have discussed sending a protected first-round pick, as well as salary like Patrick Beverley, to the Pistons for Bojan Bogdanovic, sources tell me."

This day marks the unofficial start of trade season, which lasts through Thursday, Feb. 9. All league general managers mark it on their calendars. Trades have been scarce this season for a reason. To extend the pool of moveable components, front offices waited for this day.
