In the bustling city of Jersey City, basketball was more than just a sport; it was a way of life for the Hurley brothers, Danny and Bobby. Their father was their coach, and they dedicated their lives to the game from an early age.

Their father trained them in countless drills, where they mastered the skills that would later define their careers. They were devoted to passing drills and ball-handling exercises, and their rivalry fueled their determination.

As they grew older, their paths diverged slightly. Bobby went to Duke University, while Danny stayed closer to home, signing with Seton Hall. Their collegiate careers brought them face-to-face in the NCAA tournament. However, their bond remained unbreakable, even as they guarded each other on the court.

At Seton Hall, he played under coaches P.J. Carlesimo and George Blaney. He scored 1,070 points and 437 assists and helped the Pirates reach three NCAA Tournaments and one NIT berth.

Bobby’s success in the NBA overshadowed Danny’s struggles at Seton Hall, leading to feelings of inadequacy and guilt for his younger brother.

Unfortunately, tragedy struck when Bobby was involved in a life-threatening car accident, leaving him with severe injuries. The sight of his brother in the hospital bed was a stark reminder of the fragility of life and the bond they shared.

However, both brothers fought their way back from adversity. Bobby returned to the court, and Danny found his calling in coaching. Despite the challenges, they remained each other’s biggest supporters, ultimately joining forces as coach and assistant at Wagner College.

Three decades later, Danny finds himself at the pinnacle of his coaching career, working at UConn with a chance for the NCAA national championship title. He is guided by his father’s lessons and his brother’s unwavering support.
