After being carried of the field, 49ers TE George Kittle makes a locker room request no one saw coming
Kittle will play no further part this season after suffering an Achilles injury. The TE remains upbeat as one reporter noted.

The San Francisco 49ers head into the Divisional playoffs after eliminating the reigning NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles 23–19 at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday. But there was a heavy price to pay for the win. George Kittle was carted off the field towards the end of the second quarter.
Kittle’s season is over
Head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed during his postgame press conference that Kittle had suffered a significant Achilles tear and is out for the remainder of the season.

“Losing Kittle early in the game, it was obviously a depressing play for everybody,” Shanahan told reporters. “Once I heard on the headset, just going over there, just felt horrible for Kittle. Jake [Tonges] and Luke [Farrell] had stepped it up for us all year so. So I think the guys had a lot of confidence in those guys that they could still do it. But I think everyone’s just hurting for Kittle.”
The Niners will be without their star TE for Sunday’s matchup with the Seahawks but it wasn’t all doom and gloom inside the locker room as one NFL insider noted. CEO Jed York asked George Kittle if there’s anything he could get him.
What happened next was observed by The Athletic’s Dianna Russini. “A San Francisco 49ers employee just walked into the locker room carrying what appeared to be a bottle of tequila. Best guess? it’s for George Kittle,” Russini wrote on X.
