Update:

NFL free agent quarterback Aaron Rodgers has spoken out against trans athletes in professional sports. Known for sparking controversy with his conservative viewpoints, Rodgers spoke in an interview with Joe Rogan this week, voicing praise for Elon Musk and making his stance on trans athletes loud and clear.

Rodgers calls trans athletes in professional sports “anti-woman”

Rodgers joins athletes like former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre and wide receiver Donald Driver who have criticized the participation of transgender women in women’s sports.

Rodgers claimed the movement is “anti-woman” and emphasized the biological differences which he says contribute to athletic performance.

“That’s what I mean - sports,” Rodgers clarified. “You’re not seeing trans men dominating anything. It’s because there’s a biological difference.”

Rodgers’ comments come amidst an ongoing national debate and legal battles over transgender athletes’ rights in girls’ and women’s competitions. President Donald Trump recently signed an executive order that institutions are only permitted to allow biological females to compete in women’s sports.
