Amid controversy over the Tua Tagovailoa concussion case, J.J. Watt has revealed that he had recent health problems and despite his condition, he risked seeing activity in week 4.

Through social networks, the defensive end of the Arizona Cardinals reported that during the week he underwent a cardiac procedure called “atrial fibrillation ”, which consisted of a shock to correct Watt’s heart rhythm.

“I was told that someone leaked personal information about me and it would be reported today,” he said.“I underwent atrial fibrillation on Wednesday, my heart returned to normal on Thursday and I will play today. That is all.”

The Arizona injury report reported that Watt was inactive Wednesday and Thursday and was limited in practice on Friday. The Wisconsin product was listed as questionable for calf discomfort and an unspecified illness.

What problem did Watt have?

According to the Mayo Clinic, a nonprofit organization founded in Minnesota, atrial fibrillation is "an irregular and often very fast heart rhythm that can cause blood clots in the heart."

The clinic points out that this condition does not endanger the life of the affected person, but there is the possibility of suffering a cerebrovascular accident.
