Brady retires...again: Reactions

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice? Do you believe Tom Brady is retiring “for good” as he says? Not everyone is buying it after his last stunt.

Update:

Tom Brady is retiring “for good” this time (not that there’s any other way you can retire...otherwise we just call it not retired). On Wednesday morning, the quarterback made an announcement on social media stating it quickly and bluntly in a 53-second video.

After he “retired” last season, a lie that lasted 40 days, Brady finished his last season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers looking not quite like the QB we’re all used to seeing. He and the Bucs made it to the postseason, but were the only ones there with a losing record (8-9). They lost to the Dallas Cowboys in the Divisional Round in what will be Brady’s last-ever NFL game. That is, if we’re to believe him. Not everyone does.

Tom Brady retires: Social media reactions

Can’t blame them for being skeptical. They’ve been burned one too many times already!

Others pondered on why he came back to the NFL at all after his initial retirement announcement last year. His divorce from supermodel Gisele Bundchen had much (surely not all, but much) to do with the decision to prioritize his career over family, so some are left asking, was it worth it?
