Did Cooper Kupp give the New England Patriots a preview of a trick play to expect in Super Bowl LX?

Update:

Cooper Kupp did not want to leave Los Angeles last season. The Rams basically forced his hand, and now here he is a few days away from lining up in his second Super Bowl. Now he and the Seahawks might have a little something special prepared for Sunday.

Kupp gets his Rams revenge

As fate would have it, Kupp faced the team that let him go last offseason in the NFC Championship after making his desire to stay in LA public. Despite his request and public plea to the team, he was let go and went to the team he spent all of his career despising. The Seahawks came calling and Kupp went to one of the Rams biggest division rivals.

Fast forward a handful of months, and Kupp was in the NFC Championship game against the Rams. The longtime Ram was able to exact his revenge against the team that passed on him last offseason. Kupp had four catches for 36 yards and what turned out to be the game winning touchdown in the third quarter. On top of that his last catch was on a huge third down conversion that kept the Seahawks drive alive and allowed them to wind some valuable time off the clock.

Seattle closed out the Rams and punched their ticket to Santa Clara, California for Super Bowl LX against the New England Patriots. This is the second Super Bowl that Kupp will play after winning it all with LA back in 2021, and from his Instagram post, it looks like the Seahawks might have a little trickery up their sleeve with Kupp as the main character.

A trick up the Seahawks sleeve?

Kupp posted an Instagram picture of him throwing a pass during one of the Seahawks practice sessions leading up to the Super Bowl and it sent the web into a tizzy. Now every self proclaimed expert thinks the Kupp is going to be a key piece of some sort of trick play that could potentially be a deciding factor against the Pats this Sunday.

Just because Kupp posted this picture doesn’t mean he is in the game plan for Klint Kubiak’s offense, at least in a passing capacity. He could have been throwing a pass to his quarterback or warning up before practice even began. I doubt a veteran WR who won a Super Bowl, Triple Crown and is on the doorstep of a second Lombardi Trophy would be as imprudent as to post a detailed picture of the Seahawks intentions for Super Bowl Sunday.

Having said that, if he does then he and the Seahawks will hope he turns the tides on his previous pass attempts. Kupp has thrown six passes in his career, completing none of them to his team and one of them to the other team. That one interception came this season when he was picked off by the Houston Texans back in Week 7.
