Jason and Travis Kelce to play in the Super Bowl. How many times have brothers met in a Super Bowl game?
The Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs will face each other in Super Bowl LVII, Sunday February 12th.
The Kelce family has to be on cloud nine at the moment. Who would not want their children to play in the biggest game in the NFL... After the Chiefs and the Eagles beat the Bengals and the Niners, respectively, that’s what history wrote.
Never in Super Bowl history has this ever happened, that two brothers would play against each other on the biggest stage. Jason Kelce will be defending the Philadelphia Eagles, while his brother Travis Kelce will be on the other side with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Jason is a veteran who is a potential Hall of Famer with the eagles. The center has been with Philadelphia since 2011 and has already won one Super Bowl with the team.
Before the Chiefs won their game against the Bengals, Jason wished his brother good luck and hoped they would meet in the end.
“I got a Kansas City sweatshirt I’m gonna wear for the next three hours and then that’s it for the rest of the year. Win or lose, I’m done being a Chiefs fan.”
Travis Kelce is also happy to play against his brother Jason in the Super Bowl
The Chiefs tight end is also a sure Hall Of Famer, having won a Super Bowl already as well. One of the brothers will have two rings in the end.
He has six 1,000-yard seasons as a tight end. He ranks sixth in touchdowns with 69. The Chiefs player has 127 catches, which makes him the second most in NFL playoff history. Moreover, He ranks fourth in receiving yards with 10,344.
“My mom can’t lose. I’ll just leave it at that. It’s going to be a fantastic feeling playing against him, and obviously, I respect everybody over there in that Eagles organization, and you won’t see me talking too much trash because of how much respect and how much I love my brother, but it’s going to be an emotional game.” Travis expressed after his team beat the Niners.
