Two previous Super Bowls

Super Bowl LVII will be the third time that State Farm Stadium has hosted the NFL’s showpiece event - albeit it will be the first at the venue since it changed its name from the University of Phoenix Stadium.

Previously, the New York Giants and the New England Patriots were crowned champions at the arena, winning Super Bowls XLII and XLIX, respectively.

The Giants beat the Patriots 17-14 at the end of the 2007 season, David Tyree’s memorable touchdown setting New York up for an upset victory over Tom Brady and co. The Patriots had reached the Super Bowl after registering a perfect regular-season record.

The Super Bowl returned to Arizona in the 2014 season, and this time the Patriots were the winning team, defeating the Seattle Seahawks 28-24.
