Kay Adams makes bold prediction about the Arizona Cardinals in the 2025 NFC West

Update:

Kay Adams usually avoids “schedule talk.” In her own words, it’s not her thing - especially in May or June, when predictions are mostly wishful thinking from the couch or local bar. But this offseason, something about the 2025 Arizona Cardinals has her breaking her own rules... at least for a moment.

On a recent episode of Up & Adams, she confessed to feeling “sick” over what she sees when she looks at Arizona’s schedule. “It’s so easy to start the year,” Adams said, emphasizing the point with the kind of disbelief that suggests she’s been staring at it too long. “They could make a run. They could be six and 0 out the gate.”

It’s worth noting here that the Cardinals finished the 2024 season at 8–9.

Cardinals 2025 Schedule: first six

  • 7 Sep: Saints
  • 14 Sep: Panthers
  • 21 Sep: 49ers
  • 26 Sep: Seahawks
  • 5 Oct: Titans
  • 12 Oct: Colts

Summer schedule optimism

As we all know, early schedule optimism (and occasionally pessimism) is contagious in June. “All of sports media collectively” is doing it, Adams joked. “And we just need to stop.”

Still, she didn’t stop... “I would love it for them,” she admitted about the Cards, half-laughing at her own slide into the hype. “I need to relax.”

Relaxing may not be possible if Arizona opens with back-to-back wins. And if they somehow go 6–0, expect Adams – and the rest of us – to stop pretending we didn’t see it coming. I’ll certainly be reposting this article if they do!
