Estados Unidos Update:

After a disappointing 2024 NFL season that saw the Miami Dolphins finish with a negative 8-9 record and miss the playoffs, the franchise turned its attention to the 2025 NFL Draft with a clear mission: strengthen the defensive front and patch key holes across the roster.

Holding the 13th overall pick, Miami opened its draft by selecting Kenneth Grant, a defensive tackle from Michigan known for his explosiveness and ability to disrupt opposing offenses. At 6′3″ and nearly 340 pounds, Grant adds significant size and strength to the Dolphins’ interior line.

Miami Dolphins’ 2025 Draft Class (2024 record: 8-9)

  • Kenneth Grant | Pick 13, Round 1 | DT, Michigan
  • Jonah Savaiinaea | Pick 37, Round 2 | G, Arizona
  • Jordan Phillips | Pick 143, Round 5 | DT, Maryland
  • Jason Marshall Jr. | Pick 150, Round 5 | CB, Florida
  • Dante Trader Jr. | Pick 155, Round 5 | S, Maryland
  • Ollie Gordon II | Pick 179, Round 6 | RB, Oklahoma State

Building from the trenches out

The Dolphins’ strategy was clear: fortify the defensive line and add depth to the secondary. After selecting Grant in the first round, Miami returned to the trenches with the addition of guard Jonah Savaiinaea from Arizona in the second round, providing support for the offensive line.

Defensively, Miami doubled down on interior presence, adding Jordan Phillips (Maryland) and Zeek Biggers (Georgia Tech), alongside secondary reinforcements Jason Marshall Jr. (cornerback, Florida) and Dante Trader Jr. (safety, Maryland).
