Not the Eagles or the Chiefs: This is the NFL team Kendrick Lamar is a fan of
The 37-year-old Compton native will perform at the Super Bowl Halftime show in New Orleans.

Both these teams met in Arizona as recently as 2023 and on that Super Bowl evening, Kansas City overcame the men from Philadelphia. At Caesars Superdome on Sunday, the Eagles will be looking to avenge that defeat and determined to deny the Chiefs a dynasty-building win.
Since 1967, the Halftime show has been an integral part of the Super Bowl. Over the years, the likes of Prince, Michael Jackson, Rolling Stones and Coldplay have performed with Kendrick Lamar chosen to perform on Sunday in New Orleans.

Lamar big into sports
Kendrick Lamar is a serious sports fan and forged a strange relationship with Golden State Warriors fans who believed that every year the rapper dropped an album, the team won a championship. That theory failed to hold up in 2024 after the release of GNX in a year that saw the Celtics crowned NBA champions. Lamar’s NBA team of choice are the Los Angeles Clippers.
Lamar’s NFL team
When it comes to football, Lamar has no vested interest in tonight’s Super Bowl final with his team failing to progress losing in the playoffs.
The Compton born rapper has a strong bond with Los Angeles and according to the website Fansided, Los Angeles Rams Lamar is a loyal fan of the and occasionally takes in home games at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.
