Odell Beckham Junior has finally made the long-awaited decision where will continue his career. The 30-year-old wide receiver announced late Sunday night that he had signed with the Baltimore Ravens, and he is getting back to the AFC North, this time in purple and black colors.

American sports media reports that the contract is worth $18 million for one season, and the deal includes a $13.835 million signing bonus, $1.165 million base salary, and $3 million in reachable incentives.

The Jets and Rogers left empty-handed

On Sunday, Beckham was scheduled to visit the New York Jets, considered by many as the favorites to sign him. The elite wide receiver was reportedly on Aaron Rodgers’ players’ wish list. The decision to join the Ravens is assumed to indicate that Lamar Jackson will remain with the team.

It seems unlikely that Beckham would want to join a team with an uncertain quarterback situation, especially if he had the option to be in Green Bay with Rodgers.

He started his NFL career with the New York Giants in 2014 and then played with the Cleveland Browns (2019-2021) and the Los Angeles Rams (2021).

NFL:

Beckham sat out all of 2022 after tearing his cruciate knee ligaments in the Super Bowl the year before. He had 44 catches for 537 yards and five touchdowns in 14 games two seasons ago. Although he had a lot of offers from different NFL sides, he chose to lie in, wait his time and focus on his recovery instead.

At 30, Beckham can still be a driving offense force, knowing what he averaged throughout his career, collecting 7,367 yards and 56 touchdowns since he joined the league in 2014, with 13.9 yards per reception.
