With the season over and conference finals done, the Kansas City Chiefs will face the Philadelphia Eagles for the right to call themselves the best team in football. Patrick Mahomes once more will visit the Eden of the heroes while Jalen Hurts will make his first appearance.

The game promises to be a very entertaining one. Both teams have an offensive mindset and look to play the ball rather than play it safe. The winners will be the fans who’ll see two quarterbacks that are called to dominate American football for years to come.

On the other hand, Super Bowl XLIX in 2015 drew over 121,000 tourists to the region and generated an estimated $720 million dollars.

One of the biggest reasons the state of Arizona will not generate those extra hundred million dollars is that the Pro Bowl will not be played during the same week as the Super Bowl.

Anthony Evans, a senior researcher at the Seidman Research Institute at ASU, explains that the kind of tourism generated differs. Eight years ago, people came to visit for eight to ten days. During this time, they can expect that fans will only be in the city for a day or two.

In 2015, where we also had the Pro Bowl, it was over $719 million that came into the economy over nine to 10 days.
