Update:

Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce and his family are going through a tough time as their family recently suffered the loss of their dog Baloo. Kylie, Jason’s wife, posted a heartfelt tribute to the dog on Instagram on Sunday.

“When I told the girls that Baloo was going to leave us, Ellie asked where he was going. I told her that he was going to heaven and without skipping a beat she replied, ‘Oh! He’ll get to be with Winnie again! They’ll be so happy to see each other!‘

“We were lucky enough to have 7 years with the goofiest, sweetest, most lovable, and tolerant dog I’ve ever met. He wanted nothing more than carbs and pets. He was a simple guy, held together by bubble gum and paper clips. The heartbreak is immense, but as Ellie so perfectly pointed out, the Winnie-Bubba reunion had to be pure magic. Miss you already Bubbies.”

Jason and Kylie have three daughters - Wyatt, Elliotte (“Ellie”), and Bennett, and Kylie is pregnant with their fourth girl. Ellie, the one who made the comment about their two dogs reuniting in heaven, is four years old.

Travis Kelce supports brother Jason during tough time

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, Jason’s brother, posted two crying emojis on Kylie’s post about Baloo. As anyone who’s owned a pet before knows, they are part of the family, and heartbreaking to lose.

Travis and his brother, who host the “New Heights” podcast together, have always been close. When they played against each other in the Super Bowl in 2018, they kept in good spirits, and although Jason struggled to root for the Chiefs in 2024 when they played his former team again, he said he’d always root for his brother.

In times of grief, the best thing one can have is support, and it’s clear that Jason and his family have a lot of that, both from Travis and from the community.
