In contrast, the New York Jets possess the oldest roster in the league this year, with an average age of 28.9 years, followed by the New Orleans Saints at 28.5 years.

The acquisition of Aaron Rodgers, who is now 39 years old, has been the contributing factor that has propelled the Jets to the top of the list. The veteran quarterback, in the meantime, suffered a season-ending injury in the Week 1 clash against the Bills.

It’s worth noting that although the Jets have the oldest roster in the league, they also have the second-youngest defense in the NFL, with an average age of just 24.1 years.
