Who plays Thursday Night football tonight, Week 1? Plus how to watch all the games for NFL 2025, Week 1
The wait is over. This week the NFL season kicks off with must-see games, as rivalries are rekindled.

Happy New Year – the NFL is back. Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs return hungry to reclaim the Vince Lombardi Trophy, which slipped from their hands when Philadelphia seized it last season. With renewed energy, they now look to begin a fresh path toward a fourth championship ring.
The wait ends this Thursday. Jalen Hurts and the Eagles, the reigning Super Bowl champions, defend their title against Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys in the season opener at Lincoln Financial Field.

Cam Ward will be the lone rookie quarterback to debut as a starter in Week 1. The No. 1 overall pick and the Tennessee Titans face a tough challenge against a rebuilt Denver Broncos defense determined to stop Mahomes in the AFC West.
This season also brings a wave of quarterback changes: Daniel Jones (Indianapolis Colts), Justin Fields (New York Jets), Geno Smith (Las Vegas Raiders), Sam Darnold (Seattle Seahawks) and Russell Wilson (New York Giants) all start anew. And on Monday Night Football, JJ McCarthy makes his first start for the Minnesota Vikings against Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears.
