Update:

Cincinnati Bengals rookie defensive lineman Kris Jenkins has been officially ruled out of Sunday’s matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs due to a thumb injury.

When will Kris Jenkins be fit to play?

The second-round pick underwent surgery on his thumb last week and will need at least another week before making his NFL debut.

In Jenkins’ absence, the Bengals will rely on B.J. Hill, Sheldon Rankins, Jay Tufele, and Zachary Carter to cover the defensive line’s interior. This will be Jenkins’ second consecutive missed game, as he was also sidelined for the season opener against the New England Patriots.

The Bengals will continue to monitor Jenkins’ recovery as they await his return to the field.
