Will George Pickens play for the Cowboys against the Chiefs on Thanksgiving?
The Dallas Cowboys will have to make a late decision on the fitness of Pickens, who has reported knee and calf issues.

An injury to wide receiver George Pickens provides a major concern for the Dallas Cowboys ahead of Thursday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Pickens is enjoying a breakthrough season with Dallas and is second in the entire league for receiving yards with 1,054 so far in 2025. Last Sunday Pickens racked up 9 catches, 146 yards and a touchdown in the win against the Philadelphia Eagles but he is now a doubt for Thursday.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports that Pickens was a limited participant in team practice on Tuesday owing to a knee/calf injury.

Pickens would be a big loss for the Cowboys but it wouldn’t be the first time in recent weeks that the team has started a game without him. Pickens was benched for the victory over the Las Vegas Raiders earlier this month after missing the team bus to the game. He has also been benched for staying out past the team’s 10pm pregame curfew while having dinner at a casino.
As it stands the Cowboys sit second in the NFC East, behind the Philadelphia Eagles. Dallas has a 5-5-1 record and is in with a real chance of returning to the postseason after a disappointing 2024 performance.
