Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy has been arrested for assault against a family member in Williamson County, Texas.

The arrest involves the charge of assault by impeding breathing or circulation.

Various reports have emerged showing the wide receiver’s mugshot as well as the official documentation regarding his arrest.

Will Xavier Worthy go to jail?

The legal situation is still unfolding and more developments will come in time. Potential disciplinary action may follow but at the time of writing nothing is known.

At present, the Kansas City Chiefs have not commented on the situation. However, the story adds another dark chapter in recent wobbly times for the franchise.
