The 2022 NHL Draft is about to begin, and talented, young hockey players are up for grabs. After winning the draft lottery, the Montreal Canadiens will get first pick. The team has had the most number one picks in history with five.

They are expected to pick Canadian Shane Wright this time around, while succeeding teams are likely to draft other promising hopefuls for this year including Juraf Slafkovsky and Simon Nemec of Slovakia, and American Logan Cooley.

ESPN and ESPN+ will broadcast the first round of the draft, while NHL Network and ESPN+ will air rounds two through seven the following day.

The 2022 NHL Draft will be held at Bell Center in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Viewers may stream the event for free with a fuboTV trial, or with an ESPN+ subscription.
