2024 Hero World Challenge: How much does it cost to play at the Albany Golf Club?
Scottie Scheffler and Tiger Woods are among the golfing stars at the luxury Albany resort in The Bahamas this week.
Some of the planet’s biggest golf stars, including world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, are at the Albany Golf Club in The Bahamas this week for the 2024 Hero World Challenge, hosted by Tiger Woods, who isn’t playing in the event himself.
The tournament takes place at Albany’s championship golf course, designed by the legendary Ernie Els and described as “a true golfer’s paradise”.
Inside the Albany Bahamas luxury resort
The course is just one of a huge number of facilities located within the Albany Bahamas luxury resort, which spans 600 acres. As well as Woods, you’re just as likely to bump into Mick Jagger or Alicia Keys, who have both spent time at the property’s recording studio recently.
Guests can stay in villas, marina residences or residential homes, indulge in water activities, shop ’til they drop, dine at a number of top-end restaurants and try their hand at a number of different sports, in addition to golf.
The resort prides itself on privacy. Taking photos of anyone not in your group is forbidden anywhere on the property, while prices are not made publicly available on the resort’s website.
Albany Golf Club green fees
To give you an idea of Albany’s luxuriousness, however, Forbes has reported that accommodation rates range from $1,700 to $44,950 (plus taxes) per night, depending on time of year and residence type.
And as far as the course is concerned, tee time fees for golfers not staying at the resort cost $4,000 (plus VAT) for up to four people. That figure includes one caddie per group and the use of carts. There is no rate for individual players. A 50% deposit is also required to secure the reservation.
To play on the championship golf course, you must get in touch with the resort directly to book a tee time.
