Despite the date of the Saudi Arabia bout being confirmed for some weeks now, the Mexican fighter has only just returned to the gym to begin his preparation for a duel in which he will have the opportunity to be the Undisputed Super Middleweight Champion once again, since he lost the IBF title for not attending his mandatory fight against Scull.
Ring Magazine uploaded a video of Alvarez in the ring doing some shadow boxing exercises with a post stating: “Canelo Alvarez returns to the gym in preparation for his undisputed showdown with William Scull on May 3 in Riyadh.”

‘Canelo’ first fight outside North America
Álvarez and prominent Saudi official Turki Al-Sheikh signed a four-fight agreement which will see the Mexican fight twice in the Gulf kingdom along with two fights in Las Vegas.
At present there are no confirmed opponents for future fights but everything points to Terence Crawford being a potential candidate.
‘Canelo’ - Scull finally set to happen
The Mexican was the absolute champion at 168 pounds, until the International Boxing Federation (IBF) decided to withdraw the belt as he failed to fight with Cuban William Scull within the mandatory time-frame.
