Jon Jones, the controversial UFC fighting champion, has certainly done his bit to keep himself in the public eye over the years.

As well as being an elite fighter in more than one weight division and winning title after title, the 37-year-old has been embroiled in controversies that have seen him stripped of his belts on a record number of occasions.

Such notoriety, juxtaposed with incredible talent, has only increased the demand fans have to see him strut his stuff inside the octagon, where he has performed comeback after comeback to reign supreme in the heavyweight division of the sport.

What is Jon Jones' net worth?

Jones has brought in huge amounts of interest for UFC across the years, and is set to do so again when he takes on Stipe Miocic at UFC 309, which will be held at Madison Square Garden on Saturday.

So far in his career, Jones has earned around $15-20 million from lucrative sponsorship deals only paid to generational talents. This figure is exceedingly high but it could have been even greater: in 2015, Jones was involved in a hit-and-run that saw a pregnant woman hit by a car before the fighter fled the scene. After that incident, deals with Nike, Gatorade and other huge brands all fell through.

As for his fighting career, MMASalaries.com put the number at $14.3 million, with his biggest earner coming at UFC 285, when he defeated Ciryl Gane and took home $3 million. After that comes his incredible comeback win over Daniel Cormier at UFC 214, where he was given a payout of $1.183 million.

From his UFC debut in 2007, to becoming the youngest UFC champion ever in 2011, to controversies until 2017, Jones has shown that there may never be anyone else like him, both inside and outside of the octagon. His personality is as intriguing as it is infectious, but what’s certain is that he is a figure who brings in the millions and takes home even more.
