Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy has earned a prize check for more than $4 million after securing victory in the 2025 Masters in today’s final round in Georgia, following a sudden death play-off against Justin Rose.
The 35-year-old claimed the first Green Jacket of his career by triumphing in dramatic fashion at Augusta National Golf Club. It is the fifth major title of his career - and his first since he won the PGA Championship back in 2014.
Justin Rose took second, while Patrick Reed finished further back in third.

How much is the 2025 prize purse at the Masters?
Tournament organizers confirmed earlier this weekend that there would be a record $21 million total purse in Augusta.
Having lifted the Masters Trophy, McIlroy will take home $4.2 million in prize money, while Rose and Reed will be paid $2.268 million and $1.428 million, respectively.
